Weekend Recap

This weekend kicked off with a going away party for one of my favorite coworkers (aka lunch buddies). Thankfully he is starting a new job just a few blocks away so hopefully we will still do lunch from time to time. The going away party took place at one of the British pubs nearby the office - English. While I had walked by this bar a thousand times, this was my first time going in and I definitely liked it. Being that we went straight from work, I was pretty hungry. Drinking on an empty stomach is never a good idea, so when one of my coworkers suggested the lobster mac & cheese with truffle oil, I was all for splitting it.

One bite of this was like heaven in your mouth. Although after a few bites it was a bit too heavy for me, so I was glad we decided to share. I'm more of a more cheese, less cream kind of girl with my mac & cheese. Just the way my mom always made it. After a few hours, I called it an early night and spent the rest of my Friday evening on my couch vegging out.

Saturday day was one filled with relaxation. While it was a bit cloudy out (and not ideal for catching some sun), I still sat outside for a few hours reading my current book (which is SO good, can't wait to share with you guys!) and enjoying one of the last warm days of the season. Saturday evening I was off to a UCF alumni watch party.

Since my school's football games are hardly televised outside of the state of Florida, I can't tell you how excited I am to know that I now have a UCF bar to watch every game this season. Add in a group of other UCF alumni all cheering for the same team, and I am one happy camper. Sunday continued on with the football theme.

I spent the majority of my day watching football (Go Bears!), and running my usual Sunday errands. It was a great way to end the weekend. I'm excited for more Football tonight - my Patriots vs the Miami Dolphins. There are going to be some fun competitive conversations between me and my dad (he's a die hard Dolphins fan). Should be fun. I hope you all enjoyed your weekends!

And..in case you missed this past weekend's posts:

Happy Monday!

That's awesome to have UCF peeps up there. I wish I knew of any USF peeps in Memphis.
